How To Know Jesus

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him
will not perish but have eternal life.”John 3:16

God's loving plan.

There is only one way to get to heaven.

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6

Good works or being a good person won’t save you.

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”
Ephesians 2:8-9

Trust Jesus today! Here's what you do:
Admit you are a sinner.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23

Be willing to turn from sin and ask forgiveness.

“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.” Acts 17:30

Believe that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead, in order to reconcile all who believe to God.

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

By prayer, which is talking to God, invite Jesus into your life to become your Savior.

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”Romans 10:10

The Sinner’s Prayer (also called the Consecration Prayer and Salvation Prayer) is an evangelical Christian term referring to any prayer of repentance, prayed by individuals who feel convicted of the presence of sin in their lives and have the desire to form or renew a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is a popular phenomenon in evangelical circles. It is not intended as liturgical like a creed or a confiteor, but rather, is intended to be an act of initial conversion to Christianity. While some Christians see reciting the sinner’s prayer as the moment defining one’s salvation, others see it as a beginning step of one’s lifelong faith journey.

It also may be prayed as an act of “re-commitment” for those who are already believers in the faith. Often, at the end of a worship service, in what is known as an altar call, a minister or other worship leader will invite those desiring to receive Christ (thus becoming born again) to repeat with him or her the words of some form of a sinner’s prayer. It also is frequently found on printed gospel tracts, urging people to “repeat these words from the bottom of your heart”.1

Sinner’s Prayer

Dear God, I am a sinner.  I am sorry for my sins and ask you to forgive me. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin and trust in Him. I now invite Jesus to come into my heart and life as my Lord and Savior. Thank you. In Jesus’ name. Amen
