"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" (1 John 3:1, NIV)
God could have done anything
but instead did nothing
to give us everything.
Could you watch and do nothing while your child was betrayed, arrested, judged, condemned, stripped, beaten, mocked, and crucified? God, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, could have stopped it. He heard when Jesus prayed for this to pass from Him. Yet, His Father God still did nothing...for He knew the end result.
He knew His Beloved Son's temporary pain would give all mankind eternal salvation.
In God's perfect timing, His Son was restored. (Acts 1:9-11)
In God's perfect plan, mankind was redeemed. (Colossians 1:13-14)
In God's perfect love, all His children will spend eternity by His side. (John 3:16)
"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace..." (Ephesians 1:7)
