HE is light…the only source of light. (Revelation 21:23)
Giving life. Overcoming darkness.
In Him was life and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:4-5, ESV)
Lighting our path to help us avoid the pits and the falls of sin. (Psalm 119:105)
Shining His love in our hearts and His wisdom in our minds. (2 Corinthians 4:6)
Shining His face upon us, showing us good every step of the way. (Psalm 4:6)
Follow Him… Pursue Him.
Accept His will and obey His way.
Go with Him. Be with Him. Stay close to Him.
Keep our mind on His truth. Imitate His love.
His light shines within us.
WE are light. Reflecting His light to the world.
But we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him. (2 Corinthians 3:8, TLB)
Reflect His love to those around us.
Help them see His goodness, feel His peace, and know His truth.
Shine so that they too may shine, and together we will light the earth with His Glory.
And you, beloved, are the light of the world…Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it.
