Hold His Hand In Today- by Jess Hall

Overwhelmed by to-dos that never get done. Swamped by the constant flow of tiring tasks and never-ending notes. Surrounded with persistent phones, people, and problems. We push harder and work faster to move quicker into tomorrow. But, the heavy burdens of today’s didn’t-get-to's added with tomorrow’s now-have-to-do's finally slow us. Fully sink us. Filling us with worry. “Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time…” (Matthew 6:34 TPT) Instead of jumping ahead to what we have to do in the future, instead of struggling with what we must do right now…

Be still… In this moment. In this place. In this breath… In the present, focus on His Presence. Remember Who God Is, and listen to His loving whisper within us as His Truth washes over us…

“Do not yield to fear, for I am always near. Never turn your gaze from Me, for I am your faithful God. I will infuse you with My strength and help you in every situation. I will hold you firmly with My victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10 TPT) No matter what we are going through, He will help us make it through.

Do not worry about tomorrow… Do not be anxious over anything… He is holding our tomorrow in His Hand and we hold His Hand in today. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6 NIV) “Be still, and know that I am God!” (Psalm 46:10 NIV) ““For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) ~Jess
