Not Perfect, Fully Loved

"When I said, "My foot is slipping," Your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, Your consulation brought me joy." (Psalm 94:18-19, NIV)

Maybe its OK if we're not perfect.

If we make mistakes.

If life presents problem after problem.

Because no matter what surrounds us, His love will support us.

No matter what pressure we're under, His peace will wash over. (Isaiah 54:10)

No matter what anxiety fills us, His hope will overflow us. (Romans 15:13)

We may not be perfect because He is still perfecting us.

His Creation.

His Beloved Child.

His Masterpiece.

He sees the end result and will not abandon us in mid-design. (Philippians 1:6)

He will never leave us stranded when we are lost.

He will never desert us in the midst of despair.

He will never cast us aside if we put Him aside.

He will never forsake us when we fail.

He will never give up if we give in.

He will never relenquish us from His protection.

"I will never leave you nor forsake you..." (Deuteronomy 31:8)

As this promise whispers across our mind, let our mouth shout out this declaration:

'In the midst of my mess,

No matter my imperfections,

No matter my prison, problems, or persecution,

"...I will continue to rejoice." (Philippians 1:18b)

For You are my God.'

"And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns." (Philippians 1:6, TLB)
