Pointing With Purpose- by Jess Hall

“…He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being…” (Acts 17:27b-28a, NIV)

- Live: “zao”- to live (experience God’s gift of life) - Move: “kineo”- to move (set in motion, move, remove, excite, stir up) - Have our being: “eimi”- I exist, I am Nature points to a plan…a purpose. A flight of migrating birds forming a “V”, pointing towards their safe southern shelter. Dying seeds buried, sprouting new life. Flowering branches, pointing upwards with joy, towards the sun. Every changing season – From cold to warm, From death to life – Embraces God’s Plan… Pointing to Christ. His birth. His death. His resurrection. Life on earth… Helping us see how to live. So we may show how He loves. Us. You. Me. He is with us. His Plan is for us. Every door that is opened. Every direction we choose. Every day we draw breath… Is created to bring us closer to Him. Pointing to Him. So we may praise His Name and shine His light, Showing others the way to His Side. “But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” (Job 12:7-10, NIV)
