“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” (Psalm 100:4)
- Gates: “shaar” = a gate (an opening)
- Courts: “chatser” = court (a yard – enclosed by a fence…surrounded with walls)
A gate lets us in. A court, surrounded with protection, lets us stay there in peace and safety.
But before we enter, we must first: “Know that the LORD is God.” (Psalm 100:3)
Know Yahweh…the Creator of the heavens and the earth…OUR Creator…is faithful with every generation. He loves us for all of eternity, and He has made a way for us – despite our sin – to be able to come into His Holy Presence.
“I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved…” (John 10:9)
Jesus, the Son of God, is our gate. And our faith in Him gives us entrance into God’s Presence. (John 3:16)
We can walk through with gratitude. Acknowledging Who He is. Recognizing what He has done for us. Letting our hearts fill with THANKSGIVING for Jesus. Knowing His sacrifice is our salvation.
Knowing through Him, we can humbly and confidently enter into the Presence of God.
No matter the past mistakes, His Forgiveness surrounds us.
In the present temptations, His Strength surrounds us.
Despite the future failures, His Mercy surrounds us.
Our Protector…giving us rest from our burdens so joy may fill our souls.
Let us KNOW our Heavenly Father and overflow with PRAISE for Him. Worshipping Who He Is. Glorifying His Goodness. Celebrating His Grace. Blessing His Holy Name.
“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.”
(Psalm 100:1-5, NIV)
